It a small city located in the Kiev Oblast (province) in northern Ukraine. The city began as a humble settlement back in 1154. It received the status of a city in 1956 and is now successfully functioning as an administrative center for the district of the Boryspilskyi Raion.  It has a population of 53,400 that is consistently increasing.  Serving as the administrative center of the Boryspil Raion (district), the city itself is also designated as a separate raion within the oblast. The most important thing about this city that gives the little city an added boost when it comes to advertising and making it known to people is its football player ‘Ruslan Bidnenko’ who is worth 2.2 million pounds and plays for FC Dynamo Kiev.

The city is home to two airports one domestic and one international. ‘Boryspil International Airport’ located 6 km west of Boryspil; 29 km east of Kiev is the major airport serving international flights to Ukraine. It is a very famous airport for being the largest airport in the country and serving the major part of international flights of the country, and for being one of three airports that serve Kiev. Borispol Airport in Kiev Ukraine has recently been renovated and the experience will be much better than in most other cities of the Former Soviet Union. Boryspil International Airport handles most of international Ukraine flights traffic. Boryspil State International Airport, a part of Airports Council International, has 3 terminals: Terminal A (domestic), Terminal B (international), and Terminal C (VIP passengers). There is however another smaller airport known as the Zhuliany-Kiev which deals primarily with domestic flights and this can be located about seven kilometers from the city center. If you're traveling domestically a handful of smallfry airlines will get you around the Ukraine, such as Crimea Air fly to Simferopol.
