The city is the administrative center of Donetsk region. A characteristic feature of economic complex of Donetsk is a multi-industry specialization, coupled with transport and financial management of city. The city is very famous for its white sandy beaches, its rise high mountains, salt mine, wineries, historical monuments, and first class hotels. Donetsk is home to Opera & Ballet Theatre that offers real treasure to Ukraine flights takers as well as locals by hosting world class productions and performances by renowned artist, legendary opera and ballet stars. The stars of the World's ballet” festival is also hosted there every year. The Donetsk Art Museum is one of the largest art museums in Ukraine with over 12 thousands works of painting, graphic arts, sculpture, decorative, and applied art. One of the highlights of the museum is its collection of works of Donetsk artists. If you get a chance of taking cheap flights to Ukraine must visit this museum and join its festivities such as;  excursions, creative meetings with artists, art courses for children, and other cultural events.

Another very interesting place to visit in Donetsk is Soledar Salt Mine. It is a complex of 300 meters under the ground galleries and chambers of salt mines.  The salt mine is also the place where the "Salt Symphony" Festival is held where the Donbass Symphony Orchestra performs classical compositions. Forged Figures Park is again another interesting place that houses sculptures of wrought iron by artist from all parts of the world. It hosts "The Festival of the Smith art", a Blacksmithing meeting every year attracting blacksmiths from all over the world. Svyatogorsk monastery is the second Ukrainian Orthodox monastery which might attract you if you admire architecture and/or want to see Orthodox temples and churches. The place is no doubt very picturesque.
